We recently flew onboard Trujet Airlines during our Gujarat trip to explore Saurashtra. Our flight was from Ahmedabad, the former capital of Gujarat to Porbandar city, which is mostly famous for being the birthplace of Mahatma Gandhi. We took the early morning flight that saved us a lot of time that we would have otherwise spent on an overnight train or on the road. The timing also suited us and we had the rest of the day to explore Porbandar.
Here is a comprehensive guide on how to explore Ahmedabad with kids.
I have been wanting to visit Gujarat for a long time, specifically the Saurashtra region which is the peninsular area of Gujarat on the Arabian Sea. The coastal belt of Gujarat holds many religious sites like Dwarka, Somnath, Girnar and many others that are drenched in mythology and legends. There are some hidden gems as well in this part of Gujarat like Junagarh and Diu which are yet to see mass tourism. If you are traveling with kids, a visit to the Gir National Park is a must to see the royal Asiatic lions. We had a long weekend and we added a couple of days to it and decided to fly Trujet airlines from Ahmedabad to Porbandar to explore the nearby cities.

Our Flight Experience with Trujet Airlines
With Gujarat calling, we reached Ahmedabad and after spending two days exploring the city, we were ready for the second leg of our journey. I was most excited as I had packed in a lot of popular as well as offbeat places in our itinerary of five days. I was mostly thankful to Trujet airlines for helping us cut down the travel time from 8 hrs on the road to a convenient one-hour flight.
The check-in was quick and since it was an early morning flight there wasn’t any rush. As we boarded our flight, the first thing I noticed was extra legroom, better than some other economy classes. Both ways, the flights were pleasant and the food menu had good options for a quick meal. Interestingly, on the occasion of Trujet’s fourth anniversary, there was a lucky draw happening on each flight. The passengers had to fill the forms with their details. Just before landing the air hostess announced the winner who won a free ticket from Trujet. Now isn’t that fantastic! During our return flight, the winner was a little girl.
The cabin crew was quite helpful. They were guiding elderly passengers to their seats and helping with their luggage. A kind air hostess came to chat with our son too and offered him some refreshments. Overall, Trujet’s service brought a smile on my face and that’s always a great way to start a trip.
I would definitely recommend Trujet airlines to travelers who are hard-pressed on time and don’t mind flying economy. The fare is also very reasonable and if you are traveling with family, you can’t ask for more.
